CONE BEAM 3D SCANNING

TO GET THE BEST RESULTS

Dental implants procedures

DENTAL IMPLANT OFFER PATIENTS 3D IMAGING AND TREATMENT PLANNING

Our patients deserve the best. For that reason we offer them the latest technology to ensure we can guarantee successful results. We now have virtual planning of dental implants and 3D digital scanner for bone density. In Dental Implant, we are always one step ahead in technology and professionalism.

ADVANCED SOFTWARE FOR VIRTUAL IMPLANTS PLACEMENT

Virtual implants placement allow us to plan your surgery before you to be on the real procedure. How do we do this? In the actual dentistry there are softwares capable of emulate a 3D surgery in computer interface, decreasing risks of failure in a very high percentage. Implant planning software allows the implant team to generate a 3D image of the patient’s situation, identifies what treatment is proposed, and presents it graphically and sequentially to the patient. The process allow us to get accurate results in order to know the exact location, angulation and size of dental implants.

To determine the precise treatment plan, it is important to evaluate existing bone availability both quantitatively and qualitatively. The evaluation will indicate whether bone augmentation is necessary, identify the prosthetic options based on what is realistic, and it will provide an objective view of remaining structures. Through the visualization of the available bone and the analysis of the extent of required prosthetic treatment.

WHY DO WE USE AND RECOMMEND CONE BEAM 3D TECHNOLOGY?

There is a simple reason. Patients are 3D. Cone Beam 3D technology provides us with the most accurate, three-dimensional anatomical information on a patient’s mouth, face and jaw areas. It far surpasses the capabilities of two-dimensional radiographs and provides the necessary tool to deliver the highest possible level of patient diagnosis, treatment and care.  The 3D system provides more detail than two-dimensional radiographs and allows our doctors to view everything from detailed “slices” of the patient’s anatomy to the interrelationships of facial features, bone, teeth and soft-tissue. It also increases diagnostic accuracy and surgical predictability.  In addition, the patient is exposed to significantly less radiation than traditional medical CT scans of the oral and maxillofacial region.

FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS AND ORAL SURGERY

3D imaging helps us assess the quality of the bone, amount of bone available, and the location of other anatomical structures relative to the implant site. Knowing this detailed information facilitates pre-treatment planning, and ensures a greater degree of safety with anatomical structures of concern. Cone Beam 3D imaging gives us the opportunity to virtually plan the implant cases so that surgical guides and pre-prosthetic components can be fabricated in advance of the actual surgical treatment.

IMPORTANT ASPECTS OF 3D CONE BEAM IMAGING

• No pre-scan preparation required.
• Quick, simple, completely painless.
• A virtually infinite number of views from just one 10-second scan.
• Lower radiation dose than conventional CT scans.
• Gives you the confidence that your doctor has advanced, precise information to plan and monitor your treatment.
